Problem Solving People - Lyrics

Problem Solving People*

/ S.Rich [Pandora Mink Music/Sesac/APRA/admin. By Bug]

Ramsay - Hey! I want to solve this problem
Can you help me find a solution?
And be my souluution friend?
Adam - Sure my friend, tell me how we can share our brains?
Together - What can we do?
Yeah let’s do it!

Problem solving people, holding hands to make a chain
Problem solving people, holding hands to make a change

Together –
I want to start a human chain, a problem solving crew
Hey problem solving people, all ‘round the world
you know what to do!

Problem solving people, holding hands to make a chain
Problem solving people, holding hands to make a change
There really is enough on earth for everyone you see
The world is like a chocolate cake let’s spread the icing even-ly

Problem solving people, holding hands to make a chain

Together - Come on problem solving people
Put that brain to work
We can build a human chain
To help save mother earth

From Africa to Australia
and round and back again
Take my hand, make a plan
jump on the solution train!

Problem solving people, holding hands to make a chain
Problem solving people, holding hands to make a change
There really is enough on earth for everyone you see
The world is like a chocolate cake let’s spread the icing even-ly

Problem Solving People - Finding a solution
Problem Solving People –Ohh! Let’s start a revolution

Problem solving people, holding hands to make a chain
Problem solving people, holding hands to make a change

There really is enough on earth for all of us you see
The world is like a chocolate cake let’s spread the icing even-ly

Problem solving people, livin’ next door to you and me
We can be solutions friends, it’s not so hard you see
Problem solving kids, leaving a special legacy

Adam - Come on Problem Solving People
Put that brain to work
Ramsay - What can we do?
Can you help me find a solution
Together - Let’s do it!

We are Capable of Putting A Monkey In A Rocket

If we are capable of putting a monkey in a rocket and sending him into space (which we have actually done!) I do believe we are capable of doing anything we want to do!

So aligning our vision, energy, resources, leadership, action and being and doing differently, we can have a different result. We are the solution. Individually and collectively.

Bill Gates calls it Creative Capitalism, I call it Social Entrepreneurship. Whatever you call it, if you can leave some diary space and mind space for problem solving where it really counts in the world. You know, make a contribution of sorts.

(thinking about things, investigating what you can do, considering what problem in the world resonates with you most, then seeking ways to set about solving this)

We'd all be better off. After all, I'd rather work on keeping this planet that we have rather than having to start all over again. I mean, why re-invent the wheel?

Well Well Well - Friday Afternoon Drinks?

Just wondering if you've seen www.interceptpoverty.blogspot.com actually?
Social Entrepreneur Ross Allan has set up WellWishers Ethiopia. He puts wells in the ground in Ethiopia, seriously! - Well well well :) They cost $6grand a pop but they get water to around a thousand villagers + the knock on effects are amazing.
So next time you really want to feel good about Friday afernoon drinks and you're feeling thirsty.....maybe you could pop a goldy in a tin, not just grab a coldy from the fridge. (then get the gold coins to our friend Ross, so he can get the wells in the ground??) www.wellwishersethiopia.com www.interceptpoverty.org All part of Corporate Social Responsibility really - Cheers ;) Tanya

Feature Problem Solving Person: Dion Bright Azuratec - integrated water systems

Dion Bright, Director of Azuratec, sent me an email recently that let me know Azuratec won a HIA GreenSmart Award 2008 for their integrated water systems.
www.azuratec.com.au Great problem solving there Dion!
Well done to you and your team!

In addition he lectures in Industrial and Interior Design at Swinburne University - Victoria Melbourne, Australia and always looks for ways to challenge the students to consider new ways of using design to influence real human and business outcomes, rather than sticking to hold habits, following past consumption trends and ingrained norms. (New ways to solve old problems). Social responsibility and environmental sustainability are the obvious buzz topics in design education right now.
Speaking of design, Dion also passed these on by Ezio Manzini.

Here are some really inspiring views from one of the worlds leading designers and futurists.

If you have 15 minutes… http://sustainable-everyday.net/manzini/?p=6 or http://sustainable-everyday.net/manzini/?p=7.

Leave work on time at least once this week 073

This is 073 taken from Change the world 9 to 5.

I like this one: Leave work on time at least once this week 073 (this is for the corporate people who don't work at home:) -

We're not advocating leaving work early to spend time with Mr. Coopers, Mr. Johnny Walker and Ms. Mirnoff Ice, No. Just think of the family and remember life is short and the family will be the ones at your funeral service.

Since 1995 Australians have been working longer hours, coming in third behind the
U.S. and Japan awith an average of 1,870 hours per year.

One Staple Less A Day?

If every office worker in Australia saved one staple a day, that would be 88.3 tonnes of steel saved a year.

This may sound a little boring, but it's tip 086taken from "change the world 9 to 5"

Someone has calculated that if everyone in Australia saved one staple a day, that would be 88.3 tonnes of steel saved a year.

I can't take staples very seriously but the person who worked out that calculation takes all this stuff very seriously. And if they've gone to all this trouble, at least you can think about it.

Solutions: Ways to be Greener & Cleaner at Home

Install low energy light bulbs through-out the house, install water saving shower heads, install solar hot water system, reduce the carbon footprint then offset the rest, drive less, keep our car tyre pressure at the right levels, travel less, join a car sharing pool, fly less, recycle more, look for nude packaging, carry cloth bags for shopping, eat food that's produced locally and in season, consume less, buy things that last. Reduce use, reuse, recycle, set up a compost bin or worm farm, eat less meat, turn off appliances at the wall when not in use, install solar panels, plant more native plants, plant trees, switch to green power, conserve hot water, purchase energy rated ,only fill the kettle with the amount of water needed, rinse dishes with cold water. Little things help make the mind shift and can mean a lot.
